Abbey Saint Hildegard

The Benedictine's abbey Saint Hildegard has lain above the part of town of Eibingen far away conspicuously in the middle of the vineyards, a simple, massive Romanesque construction complex from break stones.

The abbey counts churches-juridically as a succession cloister of built women cloister by the holy Hildegard 1147/52 on the Rupertsberg near Bingen. Also worth seeing is the colour-splendid equipment of the church, a significant report of the “Beuroner Stil”, created by father Paulus Krebs from the arch abbey Beuron 1907-1913.
