The Klunkhardshof (Klunkhardshof 1) is a monumental, 2-storey
timber-framed building controlled in light kink from the first
half of the 16-th century. The massive back wall uses the military
wall of the oldest city fortification.
The front to the street shows
a pleasant arrangement of the framework. The front shows three
gables likewise performed in framework, whose
middle one shows a wooden construction.
The court was formerly a
possession of the respectable Ruedesheimer family Klunkhard from
which also an early abbot of the cloister
Eberbach has emanated.
Today this court is one of the most splendid
constructions of old Ruedesheim.
