Mäuseturm, an elegant tower which stands on an island
in the Rhine between Bingen and the castle ruins Ehrenfels.
With the establishment of the tower 1270 the duty arrangement
was completed in the castle Ehrenfels.
The name of the tower combines
a legend which reports, that a Mainz bishop has fled before mice
in this tower who pursued him
because of a bad action.
